Back in the spring of 2005, before we met, we had both decided that USC life just couldn't be beat and we wanted to live in the area over the summer. Along with our full-time jobs, and summer school for Adrienne, we were able to have a little fun and ended up meeting at a friend's party. Adrienne was surprised to find another person who had lived in Eastern Washington, and as we got to know each other better we became good friends. Over the next couple years we enjoyed sharing many events such as hiking and USC football games. While Harley always had an interest in Adrienne, she was oblivious to this fact for quite a while! Well, she finally came around and both have enjoyed being together ever since!

This past January we were on vacation in Hawaii celebrating Harley's graduation. On the last day we woke early to see the sunrise over the ocean, just in front of the resort. We both wanted to return to the same spot for sunset as we were located on the southernmost tip of the island and it too would be over the water. It's quite unusual to find a place with breathtaking morning and evening waterfront views! We returned later that day, and while we were enjoying the sunset Harley proposed! Adrienne said yes, of course, and he surprised her with dinner reservations at The Beach House, a renowned restaurant that was located just steps away! The dinner was wonderful, and life's been wonderful ever since!
