We met each other while attending the University of Southern California (USC) where Adrienne was studying Business and Harley was studying Computer Engineering & Computer Science. Upon graduation Adrienne began a brief career in finance while Harley finished up his last year. We got engaged shortly after Harley’s graduation while on a trip to Hawaii.

Between graduation and the wedding we lived in Manhattan Beach, California. After Harley graduated he continued his career at The Aerospace Corporation where he had worked summers and part-time during the school year. Tiring of the lack of morals and inability to positively impact others’ lives in the finance industry, Adrienne quit her job and started a children’s book businesses called See It’s Me! Books while preparing for the wedding. Harley helped with the business software development to make the customization automated.

After the wedding we moved to Hermosa Beach, California where Adrienne began her high school math teaching credential while Harley worked on his Masters degree in Computer Science. There they adopted two dogs, Noah and Molly. While living in Hermosa they also started a community based organization to advocate for people’s right to self-defense called South Bay Open Carry.

Growing weary of the constant attack on civil rights and freedoms, as well as burdensome taxes and overbearing government we decided to leave California for a more free state. Since Harley’s work had offices in Virginia and were willing to move us there we packed up and moved to Northern Virginia after Harley finished his Masters and Adrienne finished her teaching credential.

In Virginia we were able to buy our own home with more than three times the space we used to have in California and even a yard where we could let the dogs run and have a garden. Adrienne was able to find a job teaching math at Westfield High School and Harley continued working with his company at The Aerospace Corporation doing computer/network security and high performance computing.

Adrienne is now working on her Masters degree while we both stay busy working on improving our house and exploring all the amazing historic sites and other attractions that Virginia has to offer. We both enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, bicycling, and shooting.
